Description
When many Maasai women gather together, they sing and dance among themselves. The women chant lullabies, humming songs, and songs praising their sons. Nambas, the call-and-response pattern, repetition of nonsense phrases, monophonic melodies repeated phrases following each verse being sung on a descending scale, and singers responding to their own verses are characteristic of singing by females. --Excerpt from Wikipedia

Gwyn, this both beautiful and fascinating. And the description so interesting.
Gwyn Newcombe replied:
Thank you so much Bob for your kind words. Hopefully, once I get a higher resolution scan on my negatives, I can continue on with the Maasai images.

WOW! Gwyn tis is cool. Love the flow of colors surrounding the woman. Very nice work.
Gwyn Newcombe replied:
Thank you Joy. I'm getting reacquainted and inspired with film I took about 10 years ago from a business trip to Kenya.
